We supply and support Microsoft and Linux systems including servers, desk-tops, networks, internet connectivity, remote access for branches and home workers, software applications, web site and database development. Our clients are businesses and organisations of all kinds who rely on IT systems to help them deliver services efficiently and profitably.

We provide IT consultancy and support to clients throughout the West and East Midlands from our location in Coleorton, Leicestershire (close to Ashby de la Zouch, Coalville and Loughborough and with easy access to M1, M42).

Our mission is to help our clients succeed by working with them to make the right choices of computer systems and communications technology, by carefully planning and implementing new projects and upgrades and by providing excellent ongoing support.Realcom have built our reputation on support for our customers both before and after the sale. We offer a support contract which covers the entire system (hardware and software) and includes a remote dial-in service. This enables us to diagnose and rectify faults, or sort out user problems, often without needing a site visit. We can include hardware maintenance if required.

A support contract can include regular system monitoring and management - for example to check whether there have been system or program crashes, tidy up the resulting debris, monitor disk availability, monitor network traffic and possible congestion, etc.

Remote support allows a member of our support team to look at the screen or file contents while discussing a problem or advising on procedures during a telephone call from a client.

Realcom will put together a tailored support package to suit your in-house skill levels and availability and on your need for fast response. Our standard contract covers:

  • General system support for network, computing and communications systems
  • Telephone / e-mail / fax "Help Desk" facility during normal working hours
  • Advice on operations and procedures concerning specified hardware systems and applications software
  • Performance monitoring and tuning
  • Remote (using remote connection over the internet) monitoring and control if necessary
  • Liaison with other software and hardware suppliers over any problems with inter-working
  • Scheduled meetings to review the working of the systems with client staff

We also offer system "health checks" where our staff will visit your site and examine the server, PC workstations and network and provide a report on the situation and our recommendations for improvement (if any). This will include an audit report listing the hardware and software on each workstation and server at your site.
